About
Who I am and how I work
I am an IT professional who believes that technology should serve people, not the other way around. My work is guided by a simple principle: build systems that work reliably, secure them properly, and document everything so others can maintain them.
My approach
I start every engagement by understanding the full picture — the infrastructure, the people who depend on it, the risks that threaten it, and the outcomes that matter most.
Technology decisions are not just technical decisions. Every choice about architecture, tooling, and process has downstream effects on reliability, security, and the people who maintain the system long after the initial deployment. I take that responsibility seriously.
I prioritize simplicity over cleverness, documentation over assumption, and prevention over reaction.
Reliability first
Systems should work without constant intervention.
Security by default
Every system should be hardened before it goes live.
Automate everything
If you do it twice, script it the third time.
Document always
If it is not documented, it does not exist.
Defense in depth
No single security measure is sufficient. Layers of protection ensure no single failure is catastrophic.
Test before deploying
Changes should be tested in staging before reaching production.
Technical focus areas
My work spans the full stack of IT infrastructure, from the operating system to the application layer.
Systems & Infrastructure
Linux and Windows server administration, networking, DNS, virtualization, and the foundational layers that everything else depends on.
Security & Hardening
Server hardening, firewall configuration, access control, TLS management, and building systems that resist attack.
Automation & DevOps
Bash scripting, Ansible playbooks, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines that make deployments repeatable and auditable.
Cloud & Containers
Cloud infrastructure on AWS, Cloudflare, and DigitalOcean. Docker containerization for reproducible deployments.
Business Systems
ERPNext and Frappe deployment, customization, and maintenance. Helping organizations run on open-source platforms.
Backup & Recovery
Backup strategies that account for real failure scenarios. Disaster recovery plans that have actually been tested.
